About Julia
Julia Ibanescu is a barrister and solicitor at Kensian & Associates practising family law, wills and estates, civil and estate litigation, and real estate, and also works as a mediator, arbitrator, and notary public. Born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, she completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Journalism before moving to Canada, later returning to school in 2013 to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Central Alberta Bar Society, and the Central Alberta Association of Collaborative Lawyers, and has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court. She practises in English and Romanian.
