About JR

JR MacDonald is a lawyer with over 40 years of legal experience who advises owner-managers of closely-held corporations and their professional advisors. He develops strategies and structures for tax efficiency, wealth-building, business succession, and personal succession. JR was called to the Alberta Bar in 1982 after earning a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1981. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
