About Josée

Josée Gamache was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1989 after studying at the Université de Sherbrooke. Originally from Abitibi, she practiced civil, banking, and family law there before opening a new branch office in the Outaouais region in 1996 for the firm she was then part of. She focuses on family law, representing clients in divorce, legal separation, common-law relationship disputes, child custody, and property division, including matters involving business assets and unjust enrichment. Earlier in her career she also handled civil litigation, including damages claims in the financial sector and work connected to the Gomery Commission of inquiry. She sits on the board of the Association des avocates et avocats en droit de la famille de l'Outaouais and on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Quebec family law section.
