Graduated from the University of Toronto in 1976, articled at a branch of the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto, and was called to the Bar in April 1978. Has been practicing in Grimsby since 1978. Served for over twenty years on the board of directors of the local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
