About Jérémie

Jérémie John Martin is a bilingual Montreal lawyer, originally from Quebec City, who practices and pleads in both French and English. He tries to settle matters outside court when possible, but is an experienced litigator: in 2006 he won the national Face à Face inter-university debate championship in Sherbrooke and was named best debater. Martin has practiced family law since February 2009, handling multi-day trials on child custody, support, and international child abduction, including cases before the Quebec Court of Appeal. He also practices civil litigation and labour law, representing clients before the CNESST, the SAAQ, and the IVAC, and has appeared before the Quebec Court of Appeal. He is a member of both the Barreau du Québec and the Law Society of British Columbia.
