About Jean-Marc

Jean-Marc Ferland has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and a Bachelor of Common Law (LL.B.) from McGill University, a Swiss law degree (LL.L.) from the Université de Lausanne, and completed a master's in international commercial law at McGill in 1993. He heads Ferland Marois Lanctot and also practises through his own international law firm, l'Étude Juridique Canadienne Inc., focusing on commercial, estate, real estate, and international law, with particular emphasis on tax and financial planning, including voluntary tax disclosures at the provincial and federal levels. He has served on the board of the Swiss-Canadian Chamber of Commerce of Quebec for around fifteen years and acts as national legal counsel to the Canadian Ski Patrol. He is a governor of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec.
