About Jay

Jay Tremblay is the founder of J. Tremblay Lawyer Professional Corporation in Sturgeon Falls, where he practises bilingual real estate, wills and estates, and power of attorney law. Raised in northern Quebec, he moved to Ontario at 17 and learned English through cultural immersion before studying business at Loyalist College and later at the University of Western Ontario. He completed the Programme de droit canadien (J.D./LL.L.) at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, where he helped establish and chaired the Indigenous Law Student Governance and researched Indigenous self-governance. After articling in Sudbury, he was called to the bar in 2023 and worked as duty counsel for Legal Aid Ontario before founding his own practice. He now serves as a governor of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University and as Vice-President of the Nipissing Law Association.
