About Irma
Roberts is the founder of 847 Law with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, families, and employers navigate the Canadian immigration system, advising on permanent residency, temporary work and study permits, family sponsorships, inadmissibility matters, and business immigration. She has represented clients before multiple administrative tribunals and immigration-related courts across Canada. She is past chair and an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association's Southern Alberta Immigration Section and a former member of the CBA's National Immigration Section executive, and has spoken at CBA immigration law conferences in Toronto, Gatineau, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. She mentors through the Law Society of Alberta's Mentor Express and Mentor Connect programs, has served on the Legal Aid Alberta Appeals Committee, has taught Immigration Law and Practice at Bow Valley College, and is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. She was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1997 and the Alberta Bar in 1999.
