About Ilene
Ilene Solomon is a Toronto-based Canadian immigration lawyer who earned her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She is licensed to practise law in Ontario and in Massachusetts. Having immigrated to Canada from the United States herself, she went through the Canadian immigration process personally, from work and study permits through to citizenship. She has represented clients across industries including transportation, STEM, arts, healthcare, consulting, media, and education. Before opening her own practice, she was an associate at a boutique immigration firm in Toronto, a paralegal at the Harvard Immigration & Refugee Clinic at Greater Boston Legal Services, and a corporate law associate at one of Canada's largest law firms. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Massachusetts State Bar.
