About Idowu

Idowu Adetogun moved from Sacramento, California to Saskatchewan in 2012. She earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1993 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995, later working as in-house counsel and a corporate trainer for the Government of Botswana from 1997 to 2006. She went on to earn an LL.M. in Mercantile Law from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa in 2004, and a second LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 2007. After completing her Canadian law accreditation in 2014, she was called to the Saskatchewan Bar that September. Adetogun appears regularly before the Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal in Saskatchewan, occasionally before the Provincial Court, and has represented clients on leave applications before the Supreme Court of Canada. She also works as a mediator and arbitrator, and received the 2021 Victor P. Dietz Pro Bono Service Award.
