About Hamid

Hamid Reza Hassani is an Ontario-licensed barrister and solicitor, notary public, and founder of Hassani Lex Professional Corporation, operating as HiLex. He completed two graduate law degrees at the Universite de Montreal, including one in comparative common law and one in business law in a global context, along with an Immigration Practitioner Diploma from LaSalle College in Montreal. Before his call to the Ontario Bar, he worked in immigration-related matters in Canada, and he previously held senior legal and governance roles in Iran's aviation sector, including as a legal officer and board member of a national aviation association. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Refugee Lawyers Association, and is a certified translator between English and Farsi. His practice covers federal and administrative litigation, immigration, business and IP matters, and uncontested family law, and he serves clients in English, French, and Farsi.
