Guy Labrie-Morin has practised law through a solo firm since 2013, advising a diverse client base of businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations in corporate and business law. Guy Labrie-Morin's services include business start-ups, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, corporate governance and compliance with Quebec privacy legislation, and Guy Labrie-Morin also acts as legal counsel and corporate secretary for several organizations. Guy Labrie-Morin has particular experience representing businesses owned by Indigenous communities, including the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee and the Inuit of Nunavik, and practises in sectors tied to natural resources such as green energy development, mineral exploration and forestry. Guy Labrie-Morin has served for many years on the boards of non-profit organizations and advises charities on their legal needs. Guy Labrie-Morin has been an accredited mediator with the Barreau du Québec since 2014, and previously worked at Morin & Murdoch (2006-2012), Gowling Lafleur Henderson (2002-2006) and O'Reilly Mainville (1999-2002), mainly in corporate law with Indigenous-owned companies. Guy Labrie-Morin completed studies at Université Laval in 1993 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1996, after articling at the Quebec Court of Appeal in Montreal as a research clerk for several judges.
