About Giovanna

Giovanna Hinman was born and raised in Chile and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She earned her L.D. J.S.S. degree from Finis Terrae University in 2006 and was admitted to the bar in Chile after taking her oath before the Supreme Court of Chile in November 2008, working for a private mediation and legal services company before moving to Edmonton in 2010. She pursued the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) program and graduated from the University of Alberta in 2017, articled with Jackie, Handerek & Forester starting in 2019, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2020. Her practice covers family law, criminal law, wills and estates, guardianship and trusteeship matters, and immigration matters.
