François Joubert is a founding partner of Savoie Joubert and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1987 after graduating from the Université de Montréal's law program. He specializes in wholesale and retail financing and related litigation, including the taking of guarantees, execution, and contractual drafting for clients in the movable property financing industry. He has served the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association for many years, regularly presenting to its members and representing the industry before government bodies on legislative changes. He has argued before the Quebec courts and taken part in Quebec Court of Appeal decisions on creditors' rights in securitized assets, and sits on the Association's Legal Committee.
