About Douglas

Douglas Dent has practiced law in 100 Mile House since 1976, working as a general practitioner in family law, wills and estates, real estate, business law, and court matters. He holds a BA in Political Science (1972), an LLB (1975), and an LLM (1985), all from the University of British Columbia, and lectured in commercial law, land law, and business associations at UBC's Faculty of Commerce from 1978 to 1987. His real estate practice covers purchases, sales, mortgages, easements, covenants, and subdivisions. Doug speaks and writes English and French fluently and has some knowledge of German. He is active in the South Cariboo community, taking part in the Rotary Club, the South Cariboo Arts & Cultural Society, the South Cariboo Community Enhancement Foundation, and the South Cariboo Health Foundation, among other organizations.
