About Diane
Diane A. Violette runs Violette Law Offices, a sole practice in Sudbury, Ontario. Diane holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), obtained in 1983, and later completed a Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies in 1999. Diane has been active in the Sudbury community for more than 30 years, including serving as president of a community park and playground association and as vice president and board member of the Sudbury Regional Development Board. Diane was also a board member of the Northern Development Council and received a Commendation Award from the Premier of Ontario for that service. Violette founded the Valley East Economic Development Committee and helped develop a strategic plan for the community before its amalgamation into Greater Sudbury. Diane has volunteered with several health organizations, including the cancer society, the lung association, and the kidney foundation, and served roughly five years on the board of the Laurentian Hospital Foundation. Diane also has extensive political experience at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
