About David
David D. Heighington has practised corporate and securities law in Alberta for close to 25 years. He advises public and private corporations across Canada on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, initial public offerings, commercial transactions, and corporate governance matters. Heighington earned his BA in Economics from the University of Victoria in 1993 and his LLB (Hons.) from the University of Durham, England, in 1997, and was called to the bar in Alberta in 2000. He founded Heighington Law that same year and has served as a director, officer, or founder of numerous public and private companies over his career, drawing on that business experience in his legal practice. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Calgary Bar Association.
