David Anthony
Lead Counsel at Anthony Family Law
Lead Counsel at Anthony Family Law
David Anthony is frequently retained in high net-worth family law and divorce disputes, including determining income for self-employed spouses, valuing private corporations, executive pensions, and tracing or freezing international assets. He also advises on complex, high-conflict parenting matters such as child abduction, Hague Convention disputes, and issues involving disabled children or extended family rights. David has argued numerous reported decisions on custody, income imputation, and parenting time, and his defence of a contempt motion in a high-profile matter drew national media attention. He began his career as a commercial litigator after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008, before turning to family law, and brings over two decades of mediation experience after training in alternative dispute resolution at the University of Toronto in 1999. He now sits on the Advice and Settlement Counsel roster for the Superior Court of Justice's Family division.
