About Daniel

Daniel Gallant is a lawyer with more than a decade of experience as a registered social worker before entering the legal profession. Before law school, he worked as a counsellor, human service worker, truck driver, residential construction sub-contractor, and bouncer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in First Nations Studies and a Master of Social Work from the University of Northern British Columbia, and his academic research on counter-terrorism has been cited by scholars internationally. Daniel has spoken at conferences worldwide, including a Google Summit in New York and a UNESCO event in Paris, and has developed resources for the prevention of violence and radicalization.
