Business & Corporate LawDan Chafaï practises in corporate and tax reorganization, business purchase and sale transactions, and trust and tax planning for growing companies. He was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal (1996), a law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke (1999), and a master's degree in tax planning from the Université de Sherbrooke (2003), for which his thesis on surplus-stripping techniques was nominated for the APFF-Carswell scholarship. He also holds a master's degree in defence studies from the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean. Earlier in his career he spent close to two years in civil litigation and about fifteen years in corporate tax planning, including three years as director of Canadian taxation at a chartered accounting firm on Montreal's South Shore before becoming a tax consultant. He has written articles on taxation for publications including the APFF's Le Stratège.
