About D.

D. Grant Watson is the principal lawyer at Watson Construction Law in Red Deer. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta bar in 2007. Before founding the firm, Grant spent ten years as litigation counsel and six years as a partner at a general Red Deer practice, and he now focuses on commercial and light industrial construction files as well as project counsel and mediation work. He's known for his analytical approach to construction disputes and for sharing his knowledge with junior lawyers. Grant volunteered with the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic for 19 years and has served as a director and officer of several local charitable and not-for-profit societies. Outside the office, he enjoys ice climbing, hiking, mountain biking and playing guitar.
