About Cory

Cory Furman is the founder of Furman IP Law & Strategy PC and a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent. He has about 30 years of experience prosecuting patent, trademark, industrial design, and copyright matters, and has been part of a counsel team in a case that overturned a patent on entity-status grounds. His practice covers software, oilfield technology, agriculture, mechanical engineering, consumer goods, and clean technology, and he has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for trademark work. He holds a King's Counsel designation and a Chartered Director designation from McMaster University, and belongs to the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the International Trademark Association. He has also served on the boards of the Regina Airport Authority, Creative Saskatchewan, the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, and the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
