Bertrand Jacob is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Université d'Ottawa and has practised mainly in criminal and penal law since 1988. Bertrand Jacob has represented clients before Quebec courts in every judicial district across the province. Bertrand Jacob is a member of the Barreau du Québec and of the Association québécoise des avocats et avocates de la défense, and keeps up to date through professional training courses, colloquia, and conferences related to the practice.
