About Arghavan

Arghavan Gerami is the founder and senior counsel of Gerami Law Professional Corporation. She completed her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Since founding the firm in 2011 she has focused her practice on immigration and refugee law advocacy before the Federal Court and the Immigration and Refugee Board. Before founding Gerami Law, she worked at the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice, and served the Honourable Mr. Justice M. Evans at the Federal Court of Appeal. She is an Executive Member of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and a former Executive Immigration Law Member of the Canadian Bar Association, has published numerous journal articles, and is regularly interviewed by Canadian media on immigration issues.
