About Anthony

Anthony N. Ashgriz is a senior partner and Chairman at UIPatent. He earned his J.D. from the law school at the State University of New York in 1996, is admitted to the New York Bar, and has been a registered U.S. patent attorney since 1999, licensed to practise before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has filed more than 1,000 patent applications and has written four books, including a guide on filing a patent application, along with more than 300 articles. Anthony is also a professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, having previously taught Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, is a fellow of the American and Canadian Societies of Mechanical Engineers, the Engineering Institute of Canada, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and has served as a visiting scientist at national laboratories including NASA's Lewis Research Center and the Phillips Laboratory at Edwards Air Force Base.
