About Amandeep

Amandeep Hayer is the principal lawyer at Hayer Law, a boutique Canadian immigration and citizenship law firm in Langley. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Calgary, a Juris Doctorate in Canadian common law from the University of Windsor, and a Juris Doctorate in American law from the University of Detroit Mercy. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015 and has since been called to the British Columbia Bar and the Colorado State Bar, practising exclusively in Canadian immigration and citizenship law. He serves as an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association of British Columbia's Immigration Law Section and is a co-author of the book Maintaining Permanent Residence Status and Acquiring Citizenship. He has testified before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration and the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology on legislation related to Lost Canadians and citizenship by descent.
