About Allyya

Allyya Shahid is Counsel at Nadi Law, where she maintains a practice split between criminal defence and employment law. On the criminal side she has handled matters ranging from assault and impaired driving to breach of court orders and robbery charges. Her employment work covers contract review and negotiation, severance and wrongful dismissal claims, and workplace harassment and discrimination complaints. Allyya earned her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School after completing an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University with a focus on child health. During law school she was a clinical student at the ARCH Disability Law Clinic, where she contributed to submissions for an Ontario Human Rights Commission consultation and presented on workplace human rights to community groups. She now works closely with Nadi Law's team on court appearances, legal submissions, and file management.
