About Alex

Alex Bainov is a Winnipeg lawyer focused on estate planning, estate administration, and business and corporate matters. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba in 2005 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2009, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2010. He articled and practised as an associate at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, then joined Ammeter Law Group until 2018, when he began running his own practice, Contrast Law, as a solo practitioner. He holds the Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) designations, is a past member of the Law Society of Manitoba's Practice and Ethics Committee, and has presented on estate planning topics for the Manitoba Bar Association and STEP Winnipeg.
