Araya Law is a small law firm in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, founded in March 2020 by principal lawyer Rina E. Jeyakumar. The firm works out of Fireside Lodge in Sun Peaks Village and handles wills and estates, real estate, business law, immigration, workplace law, and notarization services. Jeyakumar holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto (2010) and a B.A. (Hons.) in political science from Simon Fraser University (2004), and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2011. Before starting the firm, Jeyakumar worked as a senior associate at a small firm in Burnaby and as an associate at Watson Goepel LLP in downtown Vancouver, advising clients across a range of practice areas.

Jeyakumar's career also included work abroad, doing constitutional litigation and advocacy for the Legal Resources Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the supervision of lawyer George Bizos, who had represented Nelson Mandela, and a human rights internship studying the impact of health epidemics on orphans' land rights in Kasane, Botswana. Jeyakumar later co-founded and served as CEO and corporate counsel of e-tuktuk, an environmentally friendly transportation company. A snowboarding trip first brought Jeyakumar to Sun Peaks in 1997, and the move there became permanent in 2019, the year before the firm opened to serve a resort village whose growing year-round population had not had a dedicated legal service of its own.
