About Abudi Awaysheh Law Corporation

Abudi Awaysheh Law Corporation is a solo law practice in downtown Vancouver, built around Abudi Awaysheh's work in family law, labour and employment law, and mediation. Awaysheh graduated from the University of Victoria's law school in 2011, after earlier degrees in genetics and pathology from the University of Western Ontario, and later added a master's degree in dispute resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, in 2024. Awaysheh was called to the bar in Ontario in 2014 and in British Columbia in 2015. Before starting the firm, Awaysheh spent more than a decade as in-house counsel for a labour union, representing working families at arbitrations across the country and litigating in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario, and in Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

The practice traces its start to 2022, when it was founded as Abudi Awaysheh Law Office before later incorporating. Its work today spans family law, workplace and labour disputes, sexual assault and workplace harassment claims, business and civil litigation, and wills and estates, including Sharia-compliant wills. Awaysheh is fluent in Arabic, with a Levantine dialect and Damascene accent from growing up in Damascus, and works directly with Arabic-speaking clients. The stated approach is simple: the purpose of a lawyer is to solve disputes, not inflame them.
