About CLC Law

CLC Law is a small family and criminal law firm based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, working from a single office on Dewdney Trunk Road. The firm serves clients across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, including Port Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Surrey, Chilliwack, North Vancouver, and New Westminster. It was founded by Courtney Caldwell, who grew up in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015, and was later called to the British Columbia Bar in 2019. The firm operated for several years as Chambers Caldwell Law before rebranding as CLC Law and continuing to serve clients from the same Maple Ridge address.

The practice concentrates on criminal defence and family law, covering matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, and child protection cases involving the Ministry of Children and Family Development. CLC Law has also added a wills and estates practice, along with notary services, mediation, independent legal advice, contract review, and unbundled services for clients who only need help with part of their case. New clients get a complimentary initial consultation, and the firm offers payment plans as well as a connection to Legal Aid BC and pro bono community work for those who need it.
