About Andrew Kemp, Lawyer and Mediator

Andrew Kemp, Lawyer and Mediator is a sole law practice based in Prince George, British Columbia, serving clients across northern BC. Andrew Kemp has lived in Prince George since 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996, before being called to the bar in BC in 1997. Before law school, Kemp spent ten years as an official court reporter in Manitoba and Prince George. Kemp joined an established Prince George firm as an associate and later partner, then opened this sole practice in spring 2009.

The practice concentrates on wills and estate disputes, including wills variation claims, non-union employment law, personal injury claims, civil sexual assault claims, and debt collection. It does not handle family law. Kemp also works as a civil mediator and is a member of the Civil Roster of the ADR Institute of BC, travelling throughout the province for in-person mediations or conducting them remotely by video. Kemp has also taught business law at the College of New Caledonia and, from 2011 to 2016, as a sessional lecturer at the University of Northern British Columbia.
