About Vanderburgh & Company

Vanderburgh & Company is a law firm in Williams Lake, British Columbia, that has served the Cariboo-Chilcotin region since 1948. Alan E. Vanderburgh earned a Bachelor of Law from the University of British Columbia, moved to Williams Lake in 1961, and partnered with Lee Skipp under the name Skipp & Vanderburgh. When Skipp was appointed to the County Court of Vancouver in 1973, the practice continued under the name Vanderburgh & Company. The firm handles real estate, family law, estate planning and probate, corporate and commercial law, and civil disputes for clients across the region.

Two lawyers currently practice at the firm: Angela Ammann and Julian S. Tryczynski, both partners who built their careers there. Ammann holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Laws from Queen's University, articled at Vanderburgh & Company in 1999, was called to the bar in 2000, and became a partner in 2006. Tryczynski holds a B.A. from McGill University and a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, and first arrived in Williams Lake as a summer articling student in 2010 through the Canadian Bar Association's Rural Education and Access to Lawyers initiative, was called to the bar in 2012, and became a partner in 2014.
