Costa Law is a solo criminal defence practice in Victoria, British Columbia, run by lawyer Elizabete Costa. Costa spent 17 years as Crown Counsel with the government before opening a private practice in 2017. The firm focuses on criminal, quasi-criminal, professional discipline, and regulatory defence, and it also takes on select civil matters, including cases connected to the #MeToo movement, representing both complainants and respondents with discretion and professionalism.

Costa emigrated to Canada from Portugal to study, then spent a decade on Canada's East Coast before settling in Vancouver, British Columbia. Legal training began at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where Costa took part in the school's criminal law clinic and Innocence Project and was selected as the law student to present research to the Inquiry into the wrongful conviction of Guy Paul Morin. Costa articled with Bolton & Muldoon in Vancouver before joining the Crown as a prosecutor in 2000. The firm belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, Women in Canadian Criminal Defence, the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers, and the Criminal Lawyers Association.
