About Corvus Law

Corvus Law is a small law firm based in Victoria, British Columbia, with a second office in Dawson Creek that serves clients in British Columbia's Peace region. The firm was founded by Bobbie H. Keigan, a University of Victoria graduate who built litigation experience in Provincial and Supreme Court, including criminal defence work in northern British Columbia and civil litigation in Victoria, before starting the practice. Corvus Law's lawyers handle real estate, corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, family law, criminal law, and personal injury and civil litigation.

The firm describes its structure as built around collaboration rather than a traditional law firm hierarchy. Corvus Law's founder has said the goal was to build a firm that felt right to work at every day, and its lawyers work alongside conveyancers, legal assistants, and front desk staff who handle much of the administrative and client intake work. Lawyer Sylvanna E. Niven studied philosophy at the University of Victoria before completing a law degree at the University of Dundee School of Law in Scotland, articled with Corvus Law, and was called to the bar in British Columbia; Niven's practice now covers Vancouver Island and the Peace region. Lawyer Mitch Dick, who worked as a tree planter across British Columbia before studying law, focuses on corporate law, estate planning and administration, and real estate.
