About Considine & Company

Considine & Company is a small litigation firm in Victoria, British Columbia, working out of an office on Dallas Road. Christopher Considine, KC, leads the firm and has practiced law in Victoria since being called to the British Columbia Bar in 1978, following a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 1974 and a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1977. Considine was appointed Queen's Counsel, now styled King's Counsel, in 1998. The firm's practice covers personal injury, criminal defence, employment law, medical malpractice, civil litigation, estate litigation, corporate and commercial disputes and administrative law.

Considine has appeared as counsel in Supreme Court of Canada cases including Rodriguez v. Attorney General of British Columbia and R. v. O'Connor, and acted as special prosecutor in R. v. Brassington, which reached the Supreme Court of Canada in 2018. Considine also served as Chief Commission Counsel for the British Columbia Hydro Inquiry and for the RCMP Public Complaint Commission's APEC Inquiry. Jonathan Considine joined the firm as an associate after earning a J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2022 and being called to the bar in 2023. Janice Hansen, called to the Law Society of British Columbia bar in 1988, has provided contract litigation and mediation services to the firm since 2009.
