Bymark Law LLP is a small law firm in Concord, a district of Vaughan, Ontario, where its two lawyers, Marc Soscia and Mark Di Giovanni, practise real estate, corporate, and wills and estates law. Both previously worked together at Torys LLP on Bay Street, where Soscia focused on corporate matters and Di Giovanni concentrated on real estate, before starting their own firm. The firm now acts for individual home buyers and sellers as well as builders and developers on residential and commercial real estate projects, and it advises businesses ranging from sole proprietors to public companies on incorporations, contracts, and shareholder agreements.
Soscia holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and graduated summa cum laude from York University with an Honours BA in history and philosophy. Di Giovanni earned a law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and also graduated summa cum laude from York University, holding the highest cumulative grade point average in the faculty for two consecutive years. At Torys, the two represented clients ranging from large public companies and pension funds to private companies and family businesses, a range of experience that now carries into work for individual clients as well as developers.
Wheelchair accessibleBymark Law LLP's office sits at Keele Street and Rutherford Road in Concord, the part of Vaughan that has functioned as the city's main industrial district since Highway 400 opened nearby in the 1950s. The later opening of Highway 407 helped draw a further wave of multinational and domestic companies to set up operations in the area, and the CN MacMillan Yard rail facility remains one of its landmarks. For a firm that acts for builders, developers, and businesses alongside individual clients, working out of a district built around industrial and commercial growth fits the work.
Vaughan as a whole has kept growing quickly. The city's own economic development data shows it was the fastest growing city in York Region between 2016 and 2021, adding more than ten thousand new dwellings over that period. Growth on that scale keeps generating real estate and development work, from residential closings to land titles applications and development agreements, which lines up with the services the firm offers.
