Kalfa Law Firm is a corporate-commercial and private mergers and acquisitions practice founded by Shira Kalfa in 2018. The firm is headquartered in Markham's Downtown Markham district, with a second office in Vaughan's Concord neighbourhood. Kalfa graduated summa cum laude from York University in 2012 and earned a law degree from Western University in 2015 with a specialization in business law, then spent several years at one of central Ontario's largest law firms before founding the practice. Kalfa is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Women's Law Association of Ontario, and the Toronto Jewish Law Society, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for corporate law every year from 2023 through 2027.

The firm concentrates on two connected areas, corporate-commercial law and private mergers and acquisitions, working mainly with small and mid-sized businesses valued between $1 million and $30 million. Kalfa and the team handle tax-driven reorganizations such as section 85 rollovers and section 86 share exchanges, shareholder agreements, financing, and the purchase and sale of businesses, across industries from construction and hospitality to manufacturing and health care. Partner Ghazal Hamedani holds a law degree from Cardiff University and additional certificates in ESG and climate risk law, focuses on private M&A and corporate governance work, and serves as a Public Affairs Liaison for the Ontario Bar Association.
