Dai Law Professional Corporation is a sole-practitioner law firm based in Markham, Ontario, run by Shao Ye Dai, a Barrister and Solicitor and Notary Public licensed in Ontario. The practice centers on real estate work, including residential and commercial purchases and sales, mortgages, refinancing, and title changes, alongside corporate and commercial matters such as incorporations, commercial leases, shareholder agreements, and contract review. Dai passed China's Bar Examination in 1999 and spent six years as in-house counsel in China, first at one of the country's largest state-owned banks and later at a major oil and gas corporation, where Dai worked on contracts for China's first LNG project run by a Chinese company, including EPC contracts of more than USD 100 million and project syndicate financing worth approximately USD one billion. Dai went on to act as legal consultant on two further LNG projects in 2009 and 2010. After earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and articling at a Bay Street firm, Dai opened the Markham practice to serve clients on both sides of the Canada-China relationship.
