BuildRight Law is a small firm in Markham, Ontario that focuses entirely on construction and real estate work. Founder Ivan Merrow built the practice to serve owners, developers, contractors, and trades across Ontario's construction industry, covering construction contract review, construction disputes, and real estate disputes such as property disputes, title insurance claims, and disagreements over purchase agreements or commercial leases. The firm resolves matters through negotiation, adjudication, arbitration, or litigation as each case requires, and it also takes on embedded project counsel and in-house counsel support roles for clients who want ongoing coverage without hiring a full outside firm.

Merrow holds a JD and MBA from Queen's University and an Honours BA from the University of Waterloo, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2016. Merrow serves as a board member of the Society of Construction Law North America, and Chambers Canada 2026 ranks Merrow as an up-and-coming lawyer in construction. Rather than keep a large staff on hand, BuildRight Law draws on a network of associate lawyers, e-discovery specialists, and expert witnesses assembled project by project to match what each matter needs.
