About Brixton Law PC

Brixton Law Professional Corporation is a real estate and family law practice based on Commerce Valley Drive West in Thornhill, Ontario, part of York Region. The firm's lawyer, Susan Johal, holds a B.A. and completed part of Johal's studies in Europe before earning a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. Johal articled at a civil litigation firm in Toronto, where a summary judgment motion won on a client's behalf was reported and became a precedent in its area of law. In 2014 the practice moved away from litigation to focus on real estate and family law.

The real estate side of the practice covers residential and commercial purchases, including new builds and resales, along with refinancing, sales, and title transfers, and Johal acts for both lenders and borrowers, including independent legal advice and independent legal representation on mortgage files. Johal is also a notary public and commissions signatures on court and other documents, certifies true copies, and notarizes travel consents and powers of attorney for property.
