Can Barbarian Law close a home purchase or refinance in Aurora and York Region?

Yes. The firm handles residential and commercial purchases, sales, and refinances, with flat fees starting at $1,500 for a purchase or sale and $1,250 for a refinance, quoted in writing before the file opens.

Does Barbarian Law prepare wills and powers of attorney?

Yes. Wills start at $750 and powers of attorney for property and personal care at $450.

I'm starting a business. Can Barbarian Law incorporate it and draft a shareholder agreement?

Yes. Karim Eshqoor handles incorporations, share structures, and shareholder agreements on an hourly basis, with a written scope and fee range provided before any work begins.

Do I have to visit the Aurora office in person?

Not usually. Signings can be completed by video with identity verified under Law Society of Ontario requirements, and mobile attendance is available across York Region and the GTA. Certain notarial acts, such as certified true copies or documents bound for an apostille, still require an in person visit to the Aurora office under Ontario's Notaries Act.

How does Barbarian Law charge for its work?

Predictable matters like real estate closings, wills, powers of attorney, and notarization are billed at published flat fees. Corporate, commercial, and general counsel work is billed hourly at $350 to $395 an hour with a written estimate up front. Either way, no deposit or retainer is held in trust; clients are invoiced after the work is delivered.

Does Barbarian Law handle notarization and commissioning of documents?

Yes. Notarization is $75 per document at the Aurora office. Affidavits and statutory declarations can also be commissioned remotely by video under Ontario Regulation 431/20, though certified true copies and documents destined for an apostille require in person attendance.
