In the community

• LAW serves as Co-Chair of the Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee of Windsor-Essex, which works to build a coordinated service response to gender-based violence across the region.
• LAW monitors enforcement of Windsor's residential landlord licensing bylaw, a pilot that began in February 2023, and provides input as the program comes back before city council.
• LAW takes part in the Your Way Forward program, which provides access to justice support for survivors of gender-based violence and offers public education on family law, employment rights, housing, and other topics.
• LAW is a member of the Your Way Forward collaborative program, which submitted a report to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) on access to justice for women and girls in Canada.
• LAW's Indigenous Justice Support program, led by an Indigenous Justice Coordinator, provides advocacy and referrals for Indigenous clients across all areas of the clinic's work, including family, child protection, and criminal matters.
