Before law school, Cooper graduated from York University with a major in political science. Law studies followed at Osgoode Hall, where Cooper earned an LL.B., and articles were completed at Faskens in Toronto.
For a time Cooper wrote a weekly column on real estate law for the Waterloo Region Record. Cooper’s teaching includes courses at Conestoga College, and there have been seminars at the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board as well.
