McLeod Green Dewar LLP & Associates (MGD) is a family law firm. Its work centres on negotiating domestic contracts and on litigation, including appeals, mediation and arbitration, Family and Children's Services matters, and cases under the Family Law Act and the Divorce Act. Clients work with a team that runs from junior to senior lawyers, backed by law clerks and support staff. In February 2024, MGD was a small to medium-sized firm of six lawyers and ten support staff. Glenda McLeod, Amy Green and Gregory Dewar are its three partners.
Glenda McLeod was called to the bar in 2003 after studies at Saint Mary's University, the University of Windsor and law school at Western University, and has tried cases in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Amy Green studied at Queen's University's Herstmonceux Castle campus in England and holds an honours BA in anthropology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Gregory Dewar earned an honours BA in political science at the University of Guelph and a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Since the 2007 call to the Ontario bar, Gregory Dewar has argued cases in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court of Appeal, and before the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
Jennifer Bolduc joined in 2025 with a practice that's entirely family law. Emily O'Keefe's work takes in family law, child protection and estates litigation. Gretchen Reitzel, an associate, was a general practitioner at a full-service Kitchener firm before coming to MGD. Andrew Galea, an associate in family law, studied at the University of Malta and then at the University of Glasgow's law faculty, and later articled and practised in Northern Ontario, where the work included Legal Aid and pro bono files. Airianna Mapp, an associate lawyer in family law, earned an accelerated graduate-entry LLB at City, University of London.
History
The firm took shape when Amy Green, called to the Ontario bar in 2007, went into partnership with Glenda McLeod, and MGD has kept growing from there.
