About Vardhan Law

Vardhan Law helps people with immigration, criminal, family and real estate matters, on both residential and commercial deals, under principal lawyer Akshay Vardhan. Immigration work is for individuals, professionals and businesses alike, and Vardhan brings a newcomer's own experience to it: having immigrated to Canada, Vardhan knows the legal maze and the personal strain that come with settling here.

Vardhan holds a 2017 law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, along with a Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis from the same university, and was licensed in Ontario after passing the accreditation exams and the barrister and solicitor licensing exams. Vardhan also brings more than ten years with multinational companies, in fields that include law, finance and real estate. Vardhan is keen on technology as a way to make legal help more affordable for Canadians, with a special interest in blockchain and the legal and commercial questions it raises.

Legal assistant Charles Tsang joined in 2025 and works alongside the principal on family litigation, criminal defence, general civil disputes and immigration files, taking client instructions and drafting pleadings, affidavits and other court documents. In Hong Kong, Tsang worked as an assistant, law clerk and secretary for government, non-profits and law firms, and from 2016 to 2024 was with the Hong Kong Bar Secretariat, handling complaints against lawyers and giving clerical support to the statutory panels that held disciplinary inquiries into them. Tsang earned an LLB from the University of London in 2012.

The main office is on Coronation Boulevard in Cambridge, and there's also a Toronto address on The Queensway where meetings are by appointment. Consultations are free.
