About The LOOBS Legal

The LOOBS Legal is a Toronto law firm established in 2024, with an office at 103 Church Street in the city's downtown core. Founder Blessing Omon Samuel is a lawyer admitted to practice in both Nigeria and Canada, holding a law degree from Ambrose Alli University and training from the Nigerian Law School ahead of a Canadian bar call in 2023. Samuel also completed a postgraduate certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution with Honours and is registered with the New York State Board of Law Examiners. A second partner, Utsoritselaju Samuel, rounds out the practice.

The firm's main focus is immigration law: study permits, temporary resident visas, refugee claims, and appeals to the Refugee Appeal Division. It also takes on family law matters, including divorce, custody, spousal support, and property division, along with some criminal law and Consent and Capacity Board work. Outside the office, the founder volunteers as a mediator with St. Stephen's TNG and has partnered with the Africa Center for Refugees to support newcomers, and founded the Diary/Oasis of a Migrant initiative for migrants settling in Canada.
