About Strban Law

Strban Law is a solo criminal defence practice run by Sarah Strban out of an office on Berkeley Street in downtown Toronto. The practice covers criminal law, regulatory matters, and professional discipline, and takes on cases from bail hearings through trial and appeal. Strban has appeared at every level of court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, on matters that have ranged from sexual offences and drug prosecutions to organized crime and murder charges. Before opening the practice, Strban worked at established Toronto criminal defence firms, building a background in high profile and complex matters.

Strban is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where the coursework included representing low income clients and competing internationally in the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition. Strban belongs to the Criminal Lawyers' Association and The Advocates' Society, and has sat on the Advocates' Society's Young Advocates' Standing Committee, publishing for both organizations along the way.
