About Renno & Co

Renno & Co is a Montreal headquartered law firm focused on crypto, blockchain and fintech companies, along with SaaS, cybersecurity and other technology businesses. Toufic Adlouni founded the firm in 2018 after building a side practice for clients in Montreal's crypto and blockchain community while working as a litigator elsewhere, eventually turning that side practice into a full time firm. Renno & Co was incorporated as a start up rather than as a traditional law partnership, and it describes itself as Canada's first digital law firm, built to work remotely and asynchronously.

The team includes lawyers alongside people with backgrounds in fields like engineering, sales and technology, and it covers corporate and commercial law, fintech regulatory compliance, data privacy and intellectual property. Renno & Co helps clients register as money services businesses with FINTRAC, navigate Canada's Retail Payment Activities Act and the EU's MiCA rules, and build out anti money laundering compliance programs. Some of the firm's lawyers have also used the practice to launch their own ventures, including Luca and 0x Society. Renno & Co is based in Montreal, with additional offices in Toronto, Calgary and Maple Ridge, BC, and it works with clients in English and French.
