About Nishio Law

Nishio Law is a solo criminal defence practice run by Corey Nishio from an office on University Avenue in downtown Toronto. The practice handles charges under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, from bail hearings and preliminary hearings through to trial, and represents clients across Ontario, mainly in Toronto, Brampton, and Newmarket.

Nishio grew up in Toronto and studied Criminology and Political Science at York University, where the Pre-Law Society counted Nishio as an executive member. Law school followed at Osgoode Hall, including a place in the Osgoode Hall Intensive Program in Criminal Law and a summer position at Pinkofskys Criminal Trial and Appeal Lawyers. After articling there, Nishio was called to the bar in 2010, later became a partner at Rusonik, O'Connor, Robbins, Ross, Gorham & Angelini, LLP, and eventually opened an independent practice.
